CV Summary

Leandro Arez (Portimão, 1995) holds a masters degree in Architecture from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2021 with an exchange program at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He has worked with various architecture offices and structures, such as Docomomo International, Bak Gordon Arquitetos, Manuel Cervantes Estúdio, Promontório Arquitetos, Studio LPP, Brotéria and Lavrar o Mar. His masters thesis project was distinguished with an Honorable Mention for the Archiprix 2022. That same year, he collaborated with Paulo David in the development of the Estúdio Vertical #4 workshop at Da/UAL and has since been a regular guest critic at the architect's Final Project class at Instituto Superior Técnico. Leandro has been actively working in research since 2022, first on the project "Alvaro Siza colective housing: projects, contexts and experiences Porto-Lisbon-New York" (SIZA/UES/0014/2019), and later on "ArchNeed – The Architecture of Need: Community Facilities in Portugal (1945-1985) "(PTDC/ART-DAQ/6510/2020).
