Isabel Roque is a Sociologist, holding a PhD in Sociology - Labour Relations, Social Inequalities and Trade Unionism, University of Coimbra, and a researcher in Sociology of Labour. She ia an Associate Editor of the "Journal of Labor and Society", "Journal of Working Class Studies" and "International Journal on Working Conditions" (IJWC-RICOT);; one of the Editors-in-chief of "Que força é essa? Revista sobre os mundos do trabalho"; Rapporteur and Independent External Expert for the European Cooperation in Science and Technology, member of the "Observatory of Living and Working Conditions" (NOVA University, Lisbon), a member of the "EURYO - European Rural Youth Observatory" and a member of the Research Group "Work and Social Theory", University of Brasília (Grupo de Trabalho Teoria Social). Her research interests focus on: Call and Contact Centres; Digital Platform Work; Precarity; Social Protest Movements; Trade Unionism; Psychosocial Risks; Social Inequalities; Safety and Health at Work; Alienation; Life Trajectories; Vulnerabilities; (Un)employment; Rural NEETs.
