Currently works in the Soft Skills Lab, as coordinator of the Pedagogical Innovation and Development Unit, developing activities such as: i) welcoming, individual tutoring and design of customized plans for the academic and digital training of foreign students from Portuguese-speaking African countries; ii) training in Portuguese and Portuguese as a foreign language (with Ciberdoubts of the Portuguese Language); iii) planning, management of pre-production, production and design of online courses on institutional platforms and iv) carrying out training actions in pedagogical innovation with technologies for higher education teachers. Previously worked at Iscte, Serviço de Infraestruturas Informáticas e de Comunicações, in user support for the Blackboard Learn LMS. In 2018 he worked at IPL, Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, Escola Superior de Educação as a specialist and lecturer in Educational Technology and Moodle LMS manager. Until 2017, he managed the e-Learning service at Iscte, performing planning activities and technical and pedagogical support in the area of educational technology. He has experience in the design and use of technological tools and solutions in an educational context, and in the organisation of resources on e-learning platforms.
Master's degree in Multimedia in Education by the University of Aveiro. In 2016 concluded the PhD in Information and Communication Technologies in Education, at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon.
His areas of interest are: e-learning and distance learning, higher education and technology, educational innovation and organizational change in higher education, plagiarism in higher education, special needs of students in higher education, and faculty professional development in pedagogical innovation and digital technologies.
