Degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a postgraduate degree in Sanitary Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova.

Was a member of Iscte's Adetti research center, where he participated in various national and European projects and supported the development of master's theses and doctoral dissertations. He also has professional experience in the telecommunications, banking and transportation sectors, in software development using C/C++ and C#.NET. 

Was a research fellow at the ISTAR-Iscte research center, where he took part in the international OLA (Organizational Life Assistance) project in the field of Ambient Assisted Living to promote active ageing policies among the elderly population. He also took part in the project with the Military Academy Research Center, CINAMIL, on the development of a virtual and augmented reality tool for planning combat training in urban areas. 

Currently, he is part of the ISTAR-Iscte Technical Staff, where gives support to the management of human resources and equipment.
