Manuel João Morais Ribeiro, PhD in Risk Sciences (2018) in the Doctoral Programme ‘Territory, Risk and Public Policies’ at the Interdisciplinary Institute of the University of Coimbra, in partnership with the Universities of Lisbon and Aveiro.
He has a degree in Sociology (1983) from ISCTE-IUL, and specialised in the area of protection of people and property, having passed the public exams at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (2014).
Assistant Professor at ISEC Lisbon, he was coordinator of the Master's in Risks and Civil Protection and the Degree in Civil Protection Engineering.
Associate Researcher at ISTAR.
Vice-President of CERU - European Centre for Urban Risks, under the EUR-OPA Agreement on Major Risks of the Council of Europe.
