Degree in Psychology from the University of Porto (1993). Full member of the Portuguese Psychologists' Association (OPP), number 628, with recognised specialisation in Clinical and Health Psychology, Psychotherapy and Sexology. Specialist in Clinical Psychology certified by the Ministry of Health, working at ULS São João. Specific training as a psychotherapist and psychodramatist at the Portuguese Society of Psychodrama (SPP). Postgraduate training in Sex Therapy at the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology (SPSC), where she held positions in the National Board, the Teaching Committee and the Training Coordination Committee, and where she teaches academic modules. Since 1995, she has been active as a volunteer in the National Board and the Northern Regional Delegation of the Association for Family Planning (APF), working in the area of sexual and reproductive health rights. She was awarded the Dr. Albino Aroso Prize (1996) for her work in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health Promotion. Clinical and academic interest in human sexuality, clinical sexology, sexual health and LGBTQIA+ population. She completed the curriculum level in the Doctoral Programme in Human Sexuality at the University of Porto, in a partnership between the Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Medicine and ICBAS (2019-2022). In 2024, he joined the Doctoral Programme in Psychology at ISCTE with the thesis project "Voice_ID: Voice in (Gender) Identity and in the Psychological an Social Well-being of Trans Women”.
