With a degree in Anthropology from FCSH-UNL, a Master in Public Policies from Iscte, Sara Canha is currently a PhD student in Anthropology (FCSH-Iscte) with a research grant from FCT (2022.12855.BD). She is a researcher at the center for Centre for Research in Anthropology (CRIA) in Lisbon. She has a specialization in Care Policies with a Gender Perspective at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). She has carried out research on the social and political organization of care, with a particular focus on unpaid informal care and in the Portuguese case. Her current project has expanded the analysis of unpaid care to different forms of paid and unpaid care at home in Portugal. Her doctoral project is entitled "Practices and representations of care in old age - continuities and heterogeneities between different configurations of home care".
