Iscte heads to Latin America to meet future students
Iscte is taking part in Expo Estudiante this year, with stops in Colombia, Peru and Chile. From 1 to 12 October, the university will be meeting prospective students across the region and showcasing what it offers, as part of a wider push to attract more international students.
The trip goes beyond the fairs themselves. In Bogotá, the Universidad de los Andes is hosting a meeting that brings Iscte together with internationalisation leads from across its faculties, as well as representatives from other Colombian universities. The Portuguese Embassy in Bogotá is also holding a reception for the delegation at the Ambassador's residence.
In Lima, the Portuguese Embassy has organised a session covering Peru's higher education system, international student recruitment and visa requirements, with practical advice for Portuguese universities looking to build their presence in the country.
