Adoptive families’ strengths, difficulties and service needs: A Portuguese follow-up study
Description

AdoPt - Adoptive families’ strengths, difficulties and service needs: A Portuguese follow-up study is a project that aims to analyze the reality of Portuguese families after adopting children.

Challenge

What happens to families post adoption? What problems do they have? What difficulties do they face? What joys and fulfillment? When needed, where do these families seek and find help and support? How do the adoption workers answer to the families' needs? Which difficulties do these workers find in their practice?

AdoPt aims to answer these questions by following up 270 Portuguese adoptive families in a three-year course, and by listening adoption workers through the online platform myAdoPt.
