Este projecto visa aumentar o conhecimento do fenómeno, cada vez mais alargado, do crime de ódio de inspiração ideológica, que tem sido agravado pela pandemia COVID-19, representando assim uma ameaça directa aos direitos humanos, à paz, e à segurança.
Este projeto pretende estudar o contexto do sistema de justiça criminal português centrando-se nos dados recolhidos através de entrevistas com vítimas de crimes de ódio de inspiração ideológica, e através da aplicação do Teste de Associação Implícita (IAT) à polícia de investigação e aos profissionais do direito para analisar o preconceito cognitivo inconsciente na tomada de decisões em matéria de justiça criminal.
Este projeto irá apontar as boas práticas que podem ser adotadas pelo sistema de justiça criminal, tanto a nível nacional como internacional, para combater crimes de ódio de inspiração ideológica e reforçar a resiliência da sociedade.
