The project "Impact of Stress Factors on Military Personnel and Former Military Personnel – Psychosocial Area" is being developed at the Iscte Center for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte), within the scope of the Resource Center for Stress in a Military Context (CRSCM), a structure of the Ministry of National Defense established by Law No. 46/2020, of August 20. The CRSCM's mission is to collect, analyze, and produce knowledge about the impact of stress factors experienced throughout military life, with a special focus on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and other associated psychological disorders.
In the psychosocial domain, the project aims to deepen understanding of the effects of stress and trauma in a military context, adopting a multidisciplinary approach that integrates psychological and social dimensions. The research carried out at CIS-Iscte contributes to the production of rigorous scientific knowledge that supports the definition of intervention strategies and the formulation of public policies aimed at military personnel and former military personnel.
