Study,using numerical and analytical methods,of new wave propagation problems in microwave and optical devices using nonlinear and/or complex media.Two main topics are addressed in the project:
(i)soliton switching in nonlinear fiber couplers;
(ii)electromagnetic wave propagation in 2D and 3D chiral waveguides
