The research project focused on investigating how the concept of the metaverse may influence business-to-business (B2B) interactions in the telecommunications industry. The primary objective was to explore the potential impact of the metaverse, a virtual shared space created by the convergence of physical and virtual realities, on B2B relationships, communication, and collaboration within the telecommunications sector. By examining existing literature, conducting industry analysis, and engaging with relevant stakeholders, the project aimed to understand how the metaverse could transform B2B interactions, such as virtual meetings, conferences, and product demonstrations. It explored the potential for immersive and interactive experiences, enhanced virtual communication, and innovative B2B engagement models. The project sought to bridge the gap between traditional business practices and the emerging possibilities offered by the metaverse, identifying opportunities and challenges for telecommunications companies in leveraging this technology to enhance their B2B interactions. The research aimed to contribute to a deeper understanding of the potential role of the metaverse in reshaping the telecommunications industry and inform strategic decision-making for B2B engagement in the evolving digital landscape.

O Global-MINDS integra conhecimentos da Psicologia Social e Cultural, oferecendo ensino internacional de alta qualidade, em inglês, sobre temas como migração, diversidade e inclusão, alinhados com os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da ONU. O programa tem como objetivo dotar os estudantes de conhecimento psicológico, sensibilidade cultural e excelência em investigação para enfrentarem desafios sociais complexos a nível global. A ligação entre teoria e prática é garantida através da dissertação de mestrado e do estágio.    O programa conjunto, totalmente acreditado, combina as áreas de Psicologia Social e Cultural de quatro programas nacionais de Mestrado, reunindo a experiência de todos os parceiros e proporcionando diversidade através de três percursos de mobilidade, um dos quais é um novo percurso com foco na saúde dos migrantes. O curso tem a duração de dois anos (120 ECTS). No primeiro semestre, os estudantes iniciam os seus estudos no Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Portugal) ou na SWPS University (Varsóvia, Polónia). No segundo semestre, transitam para a University of Limerick (Irlanda) ou para a University of Oslo (Noruega), frequentando ainda uma escola de verão conjunta.  No segundo ano, os estudantes realizam a dissertação de mestrado e um estágio numa ONG, organização ou agência intergovernamental.    Está disponível um total de 100 bolsas, das quais 40 são bolsas integrais e 60 correspondem a isenções das propinas. A ampla rede global de 30 parceiros associados (académicos e não académicos), bem como diversas outras, facilita a investigação internacional da dissertação e proporciona oportunidades de estágio. 

Lisboa e Porto têm recebido fluxos de migrantes do Norte e Sul Global, de dentro e de fora da Europa. Com uma abordagem etnográfica e recorte nos pequenos comerciantes migrantes nos Anjos/Lisboa e Bonfim/Porto, pretende-se perceber as trajetórias migratórias e modos de colocação desses sujeitos no espaço urbano português, considerando as políticas urbanas e de migração. O intuito é gerar conhecimento para orientar políticas públicas integradas considerando o défice demográfico no país.    Orientação: Daniel Malet Calvo e Graça Índias Cordeiro      

The research project focused on the optimization of healthcare processes using Business Process Management (BPM) techniques. The primary objective was to investigate how BPM methodologies could be applied to improve the efficiency, quality, and patient outcomes within healthcare organizations. By analyzing existing healthcare processes, identifying bottlenecks, and studying industry best practices, the project aimed to identify areas where BPM could be implemented to streamline workflows, reduce redundancies, and enhance collaboration among healthcare professionals. The research explored process modeling, automation, and continuous improvement strategies that could be applied to healthcare processes. The project aimed to bridge the gap between manual and fragmented processes and create a structured and standardized approach to healthcare delivery. The research aimed to contribute to a deeper understanding of the potential benefits, challenges, and considerations associated with implementing BPM in the healthcare sector and provide insights to healthcare organizations seeking to optimize their processes, improve patient care, and achieve operational excellence.

POIESIS project brings together seven partners from across Europe, who will study the impact of research integrity issues and societal engagement practices on trust in science. As societal dependence on sound scientific research and responsible innovation has become increasingly visible, concerns about public trust and mistrust in science have simultaneously been mounting. This highlights the crucial importance of the cultural authority of science. The debate about societal trust in science is characterised by three intuitively appealing assumptions: - First, that trust depends on scientists’ capacity to demonstrate high standards of research integrity and ethics, and that breaches of research integrity will lead to mistrust; - Second, that citizens’ and civil society’s involvement in co-creating research agendas and content makes research more relevant and responsive to society and consequently strengthens trust; - Third, that institutions can foster integrity and societal integration by enabling and supporting researchers to act responsibly.
