Mission People 5.0
HR Digitalization Project “Mission: People 5.0”
Description

This project seeks to develop a digital ecosystem that allows interaction between various stakeholders (companies, candidates, recruiters). It's a platform that can provide companies with various responses in a gamified way. Among the various offerings are assessment and identification of the profile of candidates and employees in companies. The same platform can help with diagnostic processes and organizational change, using decision algorithms and big data management using machine learning processes to reduce the risk of the decision.

Challenge

This project involves several steps. It begins with the mobilization of IBS and ISTA Master's students who will develop games taking into account theoretical models of intelligence (e.g. CHC model), personality (HEXACO model, MBTI, Big-Five). These measures and scenarios will be empirically tested with partner companies. Next, the scenarios will be converted into a gamified story in the style of the movie and sequel 007 or Mission Impossible. Scenarios will be built involving different missions in which users will have to go through various challenges. In these challenges, important constructs and decisions will be assessed that will allow personality characteristics to be gauged.

Approach

In an initial version, it is intended that several companies will participate in beta versions and pilot studies. These versions will be developed for the Android and IOS environments. The game will then be refined, seeking to increase the playability and engagement of the game experience.

Academic Research Impact

Two scientific articles and two oral presentations on computerized assessment and its impact on companies will be presented and disseminated. Comparison with traditional assessment and aspects related to the validation (e.g. predictive, concurrent) of gamified psychometric tests. It is expected that at some master's theses will be completed per year as a result of participating in this project.

Economic and Societal Impact

In a definitive version, the aim is to open up this offer to the market and monetize the project by providing services to companies. There is also the intention of developing a platform to accommodate other tests by other programmers who want to use this base, which will always be hosted at Iscte and will serve the community for the purposes of scientific production and closer relations with companies and other interested stakeholders.
