AB  - This is the 37th issue of Springer’s series Eurasian Studies in Business and 
Economics, which is the official book series of the Eurasia Business and Economics 
Society (EBES, www.ebesweb.org). This issue includes selected papers presented 
at the 50th EBES Conference—Lisbon, which was held on January 8-10, 2025, and 
hosted by ISCTE-IUL Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. The conference was held in 
a hybrid format, with both in-person and online paper presentation formats.
We are honored to have received top-tier papers from distinguished scholars 
from all over the world. 140 papers were presented at the conference, and 275 col
leagues from 44 countries attended the conference. Distinguished colleagues 
M. Kabir Hassan from the University of New Orleans, USA; Chia Ngee Choon 
from National University of Singapore, Singapore; Dorothea Schäfer from DIW 
Berlin, Germany; Pawel Gajewski from University of Lodz, Poland; and Jonathan 
Batten from RMIT University, Australia, joined the conference as invited keynote 
speakers.
In addition to publication opportunities in EBES journals (Eurasian Business 
Review and Eurasian Economic Review, which are also published by Springer), 
conference participants were given the opportunity to submit their full papers for 
this Issue. Theoretical and empirical papers in the series cover diverse areas of busi
ness, economics, and finance from many different countries, providing a valuable 
opportunity for researchers, professionals, and students to catch up with the most 
recent studies in a diverse set of fields across many countries and regions.
The EBES conferences aim to bring together scientists from business, finance, 
and economics fields, attract original research papers, and provide them with publi
cation opportunities. Each Eurasian Studies in Business and Economics issue cov
ers a wide variety of topics from business and economics and provides empirical 
results from many countries and regions that are less investigated in the existing 
literature. All accepted papers on the issue went through the peer-review process 
and benefited from the comments made during the conference. The current issue is 
entitled “Eurasian Business and Economics Perspectives” and covers fields such as 
consumer behavior, marketing, management, and empirical studies in economics 
and finance.
Although the papers in this issue may provide empirical results for a specific 
county or region, we believe that the readers would have an opportunity to catch up 
with the most recent studies in a diverse set of fields across many countries and 
regions, and empirical support for the existing literature. In addition, the findings 
from these papers could be valid for similar economies or regions.
