Abstract
Após a subida ao poder de Salazar, em 1932, e o nascimento oficial do Estado Novo com a Constituição de 1933, oo ano de 1936 ficaria marcado pela tomada de medidas importantes por parte do regime: o reforço da polícia política e da censura, a criação da Mocidade Portuguesa e da Legião Portuguesa, e ainda o estreitamento dos laços com o fascismo italiano e o nazismo alemão, contra uma alegada ameaça bolchevista propagada pelo regime.
