Abstract
How pivotal the cultural familiar capital is to the student development is the question that guides this article. It is based on a survey of 4,191 students of 6th grade in 120 public schools in Recife city, Pernambuco (Brazil). This study propose a synthetic index obtained through the Multiple Correspondence Analysis method, which is able to capture the cultural familiar capital, broadly understood as a way of joining economics and cultural resources besides the parents involvement.
