Abstract
The 5G network slicing system allows for vertical segment operators to share and dispute the necessary (different) “slices” of the network infrastructure to comply with the service-level agreements (SLAs) promised to their customers. To address the procurement of these requirements, a centralized 5G+ Network Slice Broker needs to be implemented, to receive the different requests, calculate the slice’s requirements, and match against the physical network resource availability (sub-slices). In today’s competitive world, competition for resources will lead to a great dynamism in price according to the supply and demand equation, and as such, the broker will also be requested to host an auction-type negotiation with the different providers to ensure a fair service to all parties involved. Security of the trade deals is ensured by using a blockchain mechanism for future reference.
