Abstract
DNA evidence use in problems of civil and criminal identification is becoming greater and greater. The necessity of evaluating the weight of that evidence may be accomplished using one of the most known powerful tools: the Bayesian networks. In the current paper this will be illustrated through the presentation of a civil identification problem and of a criminal identification problem.
