Abstract
The purpose of this presentation is to analyze how the countries of Southern Europe (defined here as Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece), were integrated into the so-called US sphere of influence in Europe in the early years of the Cold War. All these four countries experienced a significant level of integration into this US sphere of influence.
