Abstract/Resumo
Industry calls for development of employability before graduation. Higher education providers are moving towards greater integration of professional exposure to prepare students for professional practice, and contemporary workers need to actively keep up their employability and be prepared to adapt quickly. In this context, the line between workers and students blurs, and study and work intersect more closely than ever before. In post-covid times, micro-credentials have been gathering significant interest as an educational approach to this changing landscape, that seems to be able to intertwine the fields of higher education, life-long learning and employability (Cedefop, 2023). This presentation questions the future-fit status of traditional qualifications and life-long learning environments appropriateness in today's rapidly changing economy and society.
