Abstract
Contextual Smart Data assists Internet services by providing support for personalization. For Mobile Pervasive Augmented Reality Systems, smart data obtained via non-intrusive sensing is particularly relevant for services where there is the need to provide close-to-realtime feedback, as occurs in outdoor activities. For instance, today fitness gadgets, smartphones, and other personal gadgets can capture information not only about the environmental context, as well as about, for instance, user's preferences. The possibility to capture such data brings in several advantages; however, it can also lead in information overload, thus reducing the perceived Quality of Experience.
This work is therefore focused on the relevancy of context that should be provided for Mobile Augmented Reality Systems. The paper provides an analysis of end-users' preferences as the basis for contextual smart data. The analysis is based on a realistic survey carried out in 2019.
