Abstract
On Just Transitions § Just transition needs to contribute to the goals of decent work for all, social inclusion and the eradication of poverty.” (ILO, 2015) § Aims: § To protect and equip workers whose jobs, livelihoods, and communities are at risk from climate change or climate interventions as the world pursues more sustainable pathways. § Address environmental discrimination based on race and the colonial legacy (i.e. 1982 protests in Warren County, North Carolina, USA). § Helped solidify the connection between the three pillars of sustainable development (society, the environment, and the economy) and provides “connective tissue” between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
