Abstract
Based on a comparative case study between two Brazilian companies in the sugar and alcohol sector, sustainability and green marketing in the sugarcane production chain and their relationship with the Circular Economy are analysed, as well as the economic benefits of using waste from the production process of the ethanol and sugar. This study highlights the contribution ethanol, obtained from sugarcane, as a renewable source to replace fossil fuel, and the residues from de process of transforming sugarcane (sugarcane bagasse and vinasse), as sources of energy and revenue for companies. This cases presents a comparative study between two companies on the capacity to generate economic benefits, when the entire cycle of the sugarcane production chain is used.
