Abstract
O presente artigo abordou os potenciais efeitos de jogar jogos electrónicos violentos na agressão interpessoal. Com base em teorias sobre a agressão, foram descritos os mecanismos presumivelmente subjacentes e as condições facilitadores deste efeito. Foi revista a investigação empírica, com especial destaque para os estudos de meta-análise. Por último, o presente artigo procurou clarificar as várias questões problemáticas relativamente às conclusões que são extraídas nesta área.
