Abstract
Virtual reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) have undergone technical evolution over the last few decades including improvements in immersion and the feeling of telepresence. Artificial intelligence has been used by tourists and guests for booking, searching for information or being received at hotels or other places. Several examples of the applications of such techniques can be found in stores, tourism, hotel, restaurants, events, museums, and destinations. This session will give insights about the state of the art on the topic and open avenues for future research. A second objective is to encourage discussion about benefits and adversities of such technologies.
