Abstract
The main goal of this paper is to compare the networks mobilised by young firms from two knowledge-intensive sectors – biotechnology and software. The analysis encompasses several types of technological and non-technological resources that are accessed through formal and informal ties. The comparative approach uncovers relevant sectoral networking features and sheds light on the innovative process in the two sectors.
