Abstract/Resumo
LisbonWeek constitutes a cultural event held annually, since 2012, with the aim of offering a new visibility to Lisbon's peripheral neighbourhoods. The ephemeral intervention held as part of its second edition was built in Largo de São Domingos, in the heart of the city centre. It consisted of a large open-air hall that configured itself not only as a landmark of LisbonWeek, but also as a meeting point for official visits and ceremonies held during the event. But it was, above all, a provocation, since, like the misshapen and undulating mirrors of the old fairs that returned impossible reflections to those who looked at them, its cylindrical shape allowed to reflect, on the convex exterior, the city and the thinner people, while on the concave interior, the more corpulent ones – the deformation varying, even so, according to the precise position occupied in the space.
