Abstract
Embora “O Estrago da Nação” aparente ser um livro sobre o ambiente do país, é muito mais do que isso. É sobretudo um retrato social de um país enleado em graves problemas, muitos dos quais resultantes da forma como maltratou, ou não soube proteger, os seus recursos naturais. Nesta “viagem” ao estado de Portugal, o leitor será confrontado com vasta informação – muita da qual surpreendente – que mostra como o país desperdiça recursos sem crescer, está rendido à construção civil e vive rodeado de problemas de poluição e de má gestão do seu território.
