Abstract
A política é um mundo masculino (Inter-Parliamentary Union, 2022) e, em Portugal, só
a Revolução de 25 de Abril de 1974 rompeu com essa tradição. Desde essa altura, embora
com vários avanços e retrocessos, a presença de mulheres nesse contexto tem vindo a
aumentar, particularmente no que diz respeito aos órgãos políticos de eleição, quer se
trate do Parlamento Europeu, quer se trate da Assembleia da República, ou das autarquias
locais (Santos, Teixeira, & Espírito-Santo, 2018).
