Abstract
Beyond the cartesian paradigm, based on “technical rationality”, in which only mental-cognitive/analytical/synthetic knowledge is legitimized, and the receiver of knowledge is a passive spectator of pre-conceived mental schemes. Phenomenological approach – “Objectivity as illusion”: The constructor of knowledge gets involved with the object of study. “Participatory science”. Pragmatism – Knowledge must result from participation in reality. Experiential, somatic and narrative dimensions – Interactive and participatory learning. Reason + Imagination: Synthesis between the analytical-synthetic and somatic-narrative dimensons – Complement the scientific method with experientially and creatively inclined alternative formats, such as personal narrative and artistic creation. Systemic thinking – Ex: Gaia Education Special education “Alternative pedagogy” – i.e. Waldorf pedagogy Foundations of Performative Pedagogy in the 20th and 21st centuries
