Abstract
Niklas Luhmann commence sa carrière comme juriste, se spécialise ensuite en science administrative, avant de débuter une carrière de sociologue. Ce parcours assez particulier marque à la fois ses procédés de travail, ses choix thématiques, et le développement de son travail théorique. Il vaut donc la peine, au moment de débattre de l’apport de sa théorie, d’étudier aussi ses premiers travaux, dans lesquels on peut observer comment se construit progressivement son regard sociologique sur la société de son temps.
