Abstract
O tecido urbano do Barreiro foi mapeado neste artigo tendo em foco a relação do sistema alimentar com o espaço organizado enquanto cidade, os vazios urbanos e os outros elementos descaracterizadores da cidade, e as possíveis consequências que as alterações climáticas podem provocar no território em estudo. A cidade do Barreiro, localizada na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa, destaca-se pela formação do tecido urbano associado ao seu passado industrial e pelo consequente período de desindustrialização. Neste sentido, procurou-se caracterizar a identidade de uma cidade marcada pela intervenção referida e tratou-se de compreender a relação do sistema alimentar com a cidade em três períodos distintos (passado, presente e futuro), de modo a melhor intervir sobre o tecido urbano.

In this article it was aimed to analyse the urban tissue of Barreiro, focusing on the relationship of the food system with the space organized as city; the urban voids and the other elements that uncharacterised the city; the possible consequences that climate changes can make in the study case. This city is located at the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and stands out in the urban context that is located. This can be for its industrial history and for the consequent deindustrialization period. In this sense, it’s aimed to characterize the city identity that is marked for the intervention previously mentioned. In this article the goal was to understand the relationship between the food system and the city in three different periods of time the past, the present and the future in order to better intervein in the urban space.
