Abstract
Anomie, loss of meaning, and disenchantment are terms that synthesize the possible implications of the 'organizational society', particularly arising from the possibility of constituting self-referential subjects, whose actions seek to put into perspective external rules or dispositions, experienced as constraints that do not coincide with individual motivations. Analyzed in the 1960s, during a period of socio-economic prosperity and expansion, the 'parenthetical attitude' has taken on multiple forms in recent decades. The figure of the millennial is, in our view, a present example.
