Abstract/Resumo
This case study focuses on V&V (fictitious ID), a Portuguese company specializing in developing software solutions and information engineering services for critical systems. The case was developed as a teaching note for students of management at a Master’s level, in an elective course on HRM, IHRM, Management or International Business Development. The case traces V&V’s internationalization journey, emphasizing the challenges and strategic decisions involved in expanding its global operations. The protagonist, Maria Silva, the company’s HR Director (fictitious ID), must navigate the complexities of managing international mobility while supporting the growth of an ICT company in both mature and emerging markets.
