Ana Costa is a professor at ISCTE – Lisbon University Institute (Political Economy Department of the School of Social Sciences) and researcher at DINAMIA’CET (Research Centre for Socioeconomic Change and the Territory). She graduated in Economics and concluded a Master's in Development and International Cooperation at ISEG and a PhD in Economics at ISCTE. Co-director of the PhD in Political Economy (Iscte-IUL, FEUC, ISEG-UL). She was subdirector of DINÂMIA’CET. 

Research Interests: political economy of austerity and the relationship between economic ideas, discourses and policies; the politics of economic ideas and expertise; the impacts of economic crises on labour relations; the politics of convergence and divergence in peripheral capitalism; values, (in)commensurability of value and valuation; individual and collective decision making in the context of moral difficulty.
