Ana Maria Simões is a professor with over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting. She teaches Accounting and Management Control at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and has been teaching and coaching corporate executives in the field of Management Control since 1997 at Iscte Executive Education.
She holds both a Ph.D. and an MSc in Management.
Currently, she serves as an Associate Professor with habilitation in Management Control Systems at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, where she teaches and coordinates courses at the undergraduate and master’s levels. She has been a member of the Executive Board at Iscte Executive Education since 1998.
Ana Maria Simões is the Director of the Management Control and Strategy Execution program and Co-Director of the Business Financial and Control program, both of which are postgraduate programs at Iscte Executive Education.
Previously, she served as the Director of the Master’s Program in Accounting at Iscte Business School for six years. She was also the Deputy Director of the Accounting Department and the Deputy Director of Iscte Business School.
As an author, she has co-authored several books on Management Control and Accounting and regularly publishes in leading scientific journals.
