Ana Isabel is a PhD student in Psychology from ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute. She concluded MSc in Psychology from the University of Porto in 2016. Since then, she worked as a Research Assistant at Neurocognition and Language Research Group (Center for Psychology at University of Porto, CPUP) and, later, at Centre for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS, ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute). Combining experimental methods and neuroimaging techniques, one of her main research focus lies in the understanding of the correlations between musical expertise and several variables, such as emotion recognition and auditory perceptual abilities. She is also interested in the associations between resting-state functional connectivity and individual differences in auditory emotion recognition ability.
