Ana Isabel is a PhD student in Psychology from Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon. She concluded MSc in Psychology from the University of Porto in 2016. Since then, she worked as a Research Assistant at Neurocognition and Language Research Group (Center for Psychology at University of Porto, CPUP) and, later, at Centre for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS, Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon). Combining experimental methods and neuroimaging techniques, one of her main research focus lies in the understanding of the correlations between musical expertise and several variables, such as emotion recognition and auditory perceptual abilities. She is also interested in the associations between resting-state functional connectivity and individual differences in auditory emotion recognition ability.
