Bruno Oliveira is a research assistant at CIES-Iscte. He holds a PhD in Public Policy from Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and has conducted research in two main areas: a) the decentralisation of powers in the social domain and territorial poverty, having co-coordinated applied research projects on public policy; and b) policy innovations in contexts of multi-level governance, with an international comparative focus. He was a visiting researcher at the Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP-UAB) in Barcelona. He has spoken at various international conferences in the fields of public policy theory, the sociology of poverty, social security, social policy and political studies, held in Canada, Switzerland, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
