Margarida Estêvão has a degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (2020) and a Master's degree in Sociology from Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (2022). Currently a PhD student in Sociology at the same institution, she's developing her thesis project "Becoming a politician? Individual trajectories towards professional politics at local level" as part of a research grant funded by the FCT and within the framework of CIES-IUL's Methodological Innovation Laboratory.
She has also collaborated in other research projects and academic and scientific activities. She is interested in the themes of Politics, State, Power, Social Inequalities, Social Trajectories, Social Classes, Youth and Generational Issues, and Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods.
