Ana Mehnert Pascoal holds a Ph.D. in Art History, specialty in Art, Heritage and Restoration (2023, School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon), with the thesis "The Palaces of 'National Representation'. Identity and Power in the Government buildings during the Estado Novo dictatorship".
She is currently a researcher in the EU-funded project 'ReARQ.IB – Built Environment Knowledge for Resilient, Sustainable Communities: Understanding Everyday Modern Architecture and Urban Design in the Iberian Peninsula (1939- 1985)' (European Research Council – ERC Starting Grant ref. GA949686), coordinated by Ricardo Agarez and hosted by ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon.
She collaborated with ARTIS - Instituto de História da Arte (2017-2023). Previously, she gathered experience in the museum sector, namely at the Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência, University of Lisbon (2011-2017).
