She is currently the Quality and Sustainability Manager and is part of the Quality Unit of Iscte's Studies, Accreditation and Quality Services, where she is responsible for implementing Iscte's sustainability and quality policies and objectives.
She is responsible for maintaining and certifying the Quality, Environmental and Social Responsibility Management Systems in accordance with the ISO9001, ISO14001 and NP4469 standards (Quality, Environment and Social Responsibility, respectively). It manages the working groups for the different dimensions of Sustainability - Planet, People and Prosperity - and supports the different organisational units and the implementation of different initiatives and projects in these areas.
She has a basic degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidade Lusófona, a specialisation course in Geographic Information Systems from IST - Instituto Superior Técnico and a Master's degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.
She carried out research into Wave Energy Conversion Systems at Lusófona University and in partnership with the Hydrographic Institute. She worked as Sustainability Manager at BCSD Portugal - Business Council for Sustainable Development - and later as a senior sustainability technician at the University of Lisbon.
