Emília Margarida Marques (PhD 2003, Nova University of Lisbon) is a social anthropologist. Her research interests include industrial work and workers, technology in industrial work, social class, inequality and consent. She focuses also on the history of sponsored, industrial film in the Portuguese XXth century industrialization, on the history of Portuguese glassmaking industry and glassworkers (XVIII-XX centuries), and on local history and social memory themes. She is a researcher with CRIA (Centre for Research in Anthropology) / IUL, Lisbon) and with the- Institute for Contemporary History (IHC / Nova University of Lisbon). She serves as an Editorial Board member to Etnográfica and Lusopen Edition. .
