Inês Teixeira de Sousa Messias is currently an Adjunct Professor at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, in the department of educational technology. She completed her PhD in Education in 2017 at the Universidade Aberta, obtained a Master's degree in Multimedia Education and Communication in 2009 and a degree in Primary Education - 1st Cycle in 2003, both from the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém. She is an integrated researcher at CIEQV, IP Santarém’s Life Quality Research Center, in the field of Quality Education. She is a collaborating researcher at the Information Sciences, Technology and Architecture Research Centre at ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon, in the field of Information Systems; and a collaborating researcher at the Distance Education and E-learning Laboratory at Universidade Aberta, in the field of Education and post-digital issues. She was an invited Assistant Professor at ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa School of Technology and Architecture. She was a specialist in Multimedia Communication at the Finnish company Learnmera. She has received 2 awards and/or honours. Works in the field of Social Sciences with an emphasis on Educational Sciences.
