Father-of-three, friend, social scientist, poet, manager, DJ, long-distance runner. Deeply interested in exploring contemporary innovation, labour relations and organizational development processes, and discussing its social, organizational and individual implications. Work and Organizational Psychology MSc (University of Coimbra, 2003), Work Sociology MSc (ISCTE-IUL, 2007), Sociology Phd (ISCTE-IUL, 2018). ISCTE`s Sociology Center (CIES-IUL) research team member since 2006. Participation in multiple research projects, covering topics such as the Portuguese industrial relations system evolution; organizational change practices; innovation, growth and flexible work arrangements impacts; identification and identity changes in different professional communities and organizational settings. +15 years of work experience partnering in a variety of organizations, really caring about happiness at work and qualified employment creation. Experience as researcher, consultant and practitioner in diverse industries, private and public, small, local, nascent, to large, global, multicultural, fast-scaled, mature businesses (e.g., Deloitte, GMS Consulting, VP Consulting, MyChange, Critical Software, IT Grow, Uniplaces, Procensus, Talkdesk). Direct contribution for the creation of +500 qualified new jobs and academy-industry knowledge transfer structures (e.g., IT Grow, Talkdesk - TDX Innovation Labs). As practitioner, often told as being and acting differently from other "managers" or “HR persons”, more like “a poet that does management”. As researcher, still trying to handle and contain a reputation for verbosity. Aiming to keep researching strategies and processes that drive people, innovation and labour relations development, contributing to academy-industry dialogue, and applied knowledge and theoretical advancement in these domains.
