CV Summary

Leonor Bettencourt has a PhD in Social Psychology from Iscte-Iul and is a researcher at the Centre for Social Research and Intervention (Cis-Iul), where she has been working in several projects since 2014.

The work developed has focused on themes of Environmental Social Psychology, Community Psychology, and Education. Through an interdisciplinary approach, she has been focused on understanding the psychosocial processes underlying people-place relationships, uses of public space, and acceptance of new laws and new public policies' implementation, as well as, school-work transition and inclusive education. Regarding the field of public policies, she has also dedicated her work to scientific advice, especially in the area of Education [Education Observatory of Lezíria do Tejo (Intermunicipal Community of Lezíria do Tejo | 2019/2020); Regional Forum for Professional Qualification (Regional Government of the Azores | 2021/2022)], and Public Participation Processes of young people ("Youth Circles: Active Citizenship" | 2020).

Currently, she is a member of the project TR@Ck-IN - Public Employment Services Tracking Effectiveness to Support Rural NEETs, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment.
