Researcher of CIES (Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology), ISCTE ? IUL, since 2006. Sociology graduated (University of Porto), completed her PHD in 2011 on Urban Anthropology (ISCTE-IUL) taking urban cultures in the context of five cities as her main research object. The main ethnographic comparison focused urban practices such as graffiti and parkour as well as their actors and projects in the cities of Lisbon and Barcelona. Developed gender studies especially in the context of the Sociology Institute of the University of Porto, researching on gender identities and relations constructed in the frame of clubbing cultures in the North of Portugal. Nowadays is a Post-PHD grant holder of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia to work on students and schools of unprivileged territories. The core research relates with participation in art projects and trajectories of school success and failure.
