Marcos Figueiredo has a degree in Industrial Design - Product Design, from São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP) - 1998, post graduate in Executive Training from FIA Business School - 2010, master in Engineering and Innovation Management at the Federal University of ABC - 2020 and is currently a PhD student in Architecture of Contemporary Metropolitan Territories at ISCTE-IUL - Lisbon University Institute. He is integrated to ISTAR-IUL - Research Center in Information Sciences, Technologies and Architecture, in the Digital Living Spaces Research group.

He is dedicating mainly to the application of Virtual Reality and Spatial Perception in Architecture to understand the tool and its social impact at the level of well-being of communities and individuals. For this he has researched in areas such as: 3D Modeling, BIM (Building Information Modeling), Individuals Behavior in Virtual Environments, Avatars and Agents, Game Engines and Architecture.

He currently has a paper published in Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies, a Springer book series, and has a citation in an innovation journal.

He has extensive experience in innovative business aviation industries, in areas as: planning and control, elaboration, design, quality and project management in companies such as Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (EMBRAER) and F-List Components and Furniture, from Austria. In addition, he worked as a senior project manager in several US architecture visualization projects with Virtual Reality, images, videos and app development in a joint venture of Brazil and United States, namely CPVisual-Evolution Ventures.
