Social psychologist with a PhD in Psychology, with a thesis on participatory budgeting processes in Portugal, a Master’s degree in Social and Organizational Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon. Her research has focused on decision-making processes and public participation, particularly in the field of public policy, and she is the author or co-author of more than 20 scientific publications in this area. Since September 2026, she has coordinated the Lisbon Fast-Track City initiative (Lisboa Sem Sida) on behalf of GAT – Grupo de Ativistas em Tratamentos. Since 2015, she has co-coordinated an action research project in the field of health that promotes the involvement of people living with illness and their representatives in healthcare decision-making processes. This project was responsible for the Charter for Public Participation in Health (Law No. 108/2019 of 9 September).
